For home-care agencies, supported-living services and families sharing care, incontinence laundry is a steady, repeating job. Outsourcing works best with a simple routine: consistent bags and labels, one named contact, a regular collection rhythm and spare linen in the home. Here's a practical way to set that up.
This is an operational planning guide, not CQC, regulatory or infection-control advice. Check your own policies and obligations.
1. Agree who books and who receives updates
Name one person per service or household to book collections and approve quotes. It avoids missed bags and duplicate bookings.
2. Use consistent bags and labels
- Seal each bag and label it with a reference, such as a room or client code, rather than a full name.
- Keep a short record of the number of bags and any items needing special care.
- Bag waterproof mattress protectors and delicate clothing separately and mention them.
3. Set a collection rhythm
Most providers find a fixed weekly or twice-weekly pattern easier than ad hoc bookings. Booking slots set collection windows; return timing is confirmed after collection and depends on the load.
4. Hold spare linen
Keep at least one clean set of bedding and nightwear per person in the home while items are away, so care is never waiting on laundry.
5. Know what isn't laundry
Used disposable pads, clinical waste and sharps must follow your clinical waste process. Only send washable textiles.

Send a business enquiry with typical weekly volumes and locations and we'll set out how collections and pricing can work.
